Millenium Innovation Prize 2016
On the World Intellectual Property Day in 2016 our company received the prestigious Millennium Innovation Prize for its outstanding innovative achievements in the field of in-vitro diagnostics. The World Intellectual Property Day was established in 2000 by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in order to celebrate those creators and innovators who contributed to the social development and progress on our planet. The Millennium Prize was initiated also in 2000 by the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office and is handed over every year to Hungarian companies that are showing excellence and exceptional progress in the field of sciences, business, technology and arts. Norma acquired this prestigious prize thanks to focusing its research and development on creating economical, clean, environment-conscious solutions in the area of in-vitro diagnostics, especially hematology, to the benefit of the overall healthcare system. Miklos Bendzsel, President of the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office added: "Norma is an outstanding candidate for this year's Millennium Prize. Their development team provided unique innovations that, I am sure, will be recognized by the healthcare market soon. The company has a conscious intellectual property strategy and protects its novel innovations in an extraordinary and exemplary manner. We are proud that we can work with such young and innovative design teams."
